Indeed, I just tested to get the needed qgis dependancies from
ubuntugis-unstable (oneiric) via
aptitude build-dep qgis
which returns :
sudo aptitude build-dep qgis
Les NOUVEAUX paquets suivants vont être installés :

No libgdal1-1.9.0 here... although it seems gdal 1.9 has been "released" in
the ubuntugis-unstable repo...
