regarding windows and linux users we have now a draw situation. Windows users have it harder to install HomeRange plugin because of rpy2 and now TauDEM is easier for them.. Of course this was only a joke .. It would be fine to treat every operating system the same. Lets hope it will be soon easy to install TauDEM on Linux as well as some rpy2 substitute on Windows.
