Hey all, There is currently a issue in the new sip branch with calling QgsMapLayerRegistry.instance().mapLayers() making QGIS crash. I know where the issue is and will try to fix it ASAP.
If anyone knows sip and can lend a hand that would be great. The crash is in conversions.sip QMap<TYPE, TYPE*>. There is this link from Marco Bernasocchi: http://spyder-ide.blogspot.ch/2011/06/pyqt-api-1-pyqt-api-2-and-pyside.html This abstraction layer along with another one for the vector layer API changes would make a nice little help for developers targetting multiple versions.
