Hi Paolo,

Here is a new description:

Raster Interpolation browses a vector layer of points, interpolates at their
position
the value of a raster layer and save the value in a chosen field of the vector
layer.

Interpolation can be nearest, linear or bi-cubic. Simple filter on the vector
layer
may be applied (browse only currently NULL values and/or only selected
features).

I hope it's a bit more clear...
Otherwise, the printscreen on the plugin homepage (linked) might help:

Hi Denis,
I have read the description, but I do not understand in detail what is the
plugin
doing. What is interpolating?
I'll try to reformulate:

You have a vector layer of points.
You have a raster layer (might be a DTM).

Foreach point feature of the vector layer:
    - take the location of the point
- calculate an interpolated value of a chosen band at the point location
    - save this value in a field of the feature

Thanks.
