I certainly hope to be there.
I (or my employer) have contracted Sourcepole to develop a CSW harvester of WxS
services for QGIS, and have also funded improvements to Geonetwork to capture
better metadata when harvesting from WxS url's. We desire a better integration
of self documenting WxS services being harvested into CSW catalogues which
provide a resource describing available layers/data which is directly
accessible from QGIS. Sort of in line with the QGIS web client approach, but
not quite :-)
I'll be discussing some of this in my presentation on NIWA's use of FOSS.
