I have now created a query which filters out easy issues for new
developers. http://hub.qgis.org/projects/quantum-gis/issues?query_id=62

They can be found as a saved query on the side bar:

In order for a ticket to show you there you just need to add the "easy"
tag. http://i.imgur.com/gEasKqf.png
