Why would I use an easily-recognizable number that gives both a sense of the product history and clear indication of what I'm talking about when I can show off my 1337 status by calling it Ice Cream Sandwich,..." > * it (under our current scheme) pays homage to the hosts of our hackfests - > lets be honest there isn't much reward in hosting it other than seeing your > region represented in the release name Cannot it be done in a different way, maybe even more explicitly, for example a bottom bar on splash screen telling place/institution. > * its a 'fun' part of our project culture and I would not like to see that > we gradually remove everything that is fun and interesting about our project Fun for you, disaster for me.
