Hi Paolo, I tested with a table of 9000~ features. It took me almost no time to delete half of the table. (Config: Ubuntu 14.04, QGIS 2.4, Postgresql 9.3)
I experienced something like this while I was working with a active delete/update trigger of the subjected table in oracle before.
