Hi all,
Thanks to a really productive HF and good advices from its participants,
I could port the CADinput plugin into QGIS core.
The general idea of CAD tools in QGIS is to have a kind of filter which
works on top of//any map tool.
A pull request has been open [0] and a QEP has been proposed too [1].
If you have time to try this and provide feedback, you are welcome.
The general intention is to integrate this in the beginning of next
release cycle.
