The question besides the crashes is why in many cases the parameter (attribute values) is not correctly handed over in the action?

Very strange ...

Hi,

I don't have this software on Linux, that I am starting with the action.

The crash happens quite unpredictable. Sometimes it starts correctly, sometimes the other software starts, but the parameter is missing, sometimes it crashes.

If the crash happens, it happens immediately after I trigger the action.
It's a bit hard to tell from this. I observed some crashes when running actions a few months ago, but nothing since. From where do you launch the actions (new identify menu, identify dock, feature form)?

Does the minidump file help at all?
I don't have the environment to inspect it.

Hi Andreas,

Do you say that the same project/workflow does not crash on linux and is specific to windows or have you haven't tested this on linux?

If you haven't, by any chance, can you try and give more details where the crash occurs?

Best wishes,

Denis

Hi,

I have troubles with actions - testing with current master (nightly) on Win7 64bit.

Often QGIS either crashes when using the action or the action is started but not with the correct attribute value.

The action starts a Java application with a given parameter set. When QGIS does not crash, the Java app is correctly started, but the parameter (a database key) is often omitted.

Did others test the current master with their actions (on Win7 64bit)?

Thanks,
Andreas
