yes.. I run QGIS from build (/home/ma7730/lavori/QGIS/QGIS-Master/buildM/output) in the bash script I use to launch QGIS, the LD_LIBRARY_PATH is already specified: #!/bin/bash export QGIS_INSTALL_PREFIX="/home/ma7730/lavori/QGIS/QGIS-Master/buildM/output" export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:$QGIS_INSTALL_PREFIX/lib export PYTHONPATH=$QGIS_INSTALL_PREFIX/python/qgis export PYTHONPATH=$PYTHONPATH:/home/$USER/.qgis2/python/plugins export QGIS_DEBUG=3 #export QGIS_LOG_FILE=./qgis.log $QGIS_INSTALL_PREFIX/bin/qgis $@ isn't this enough?
