Jurgen, what's the difference between the cache you recently added for the GetCapabilities call and the one Andrea is reporting in his mail below ?

Infact seem the getcapabilites is stored in a cache 8available also in the 2.6.1 version of qgis). To empty the cache is this: options -> network -> cache settings -> clear. After this the connection to my wms server was able to show me the new wms layers added.
