The QGIS startup batch files reset the Windows environment. This causes a problem for the DB2 provider as we need the DB2 libraries to be included in the path.

Is there a straightforward way to handle this? Is this an issue for other database providers?

We've handled this by hacking the QGIS batch file but this isn't a very pleasant end-user solution.
