While trying to convert a DXF file using the dxf2shp plugin, I'm getting a strange .shp.shp file instead of the name I have chosen. This makes it very useless as QGIS can not recognise it as a valid vector layer later.
But, if I overwrite an existing file, it saves just fine. This is happening to me in 2.14 and 2.16. Is there any workaround? What are the remaining advantages of using this instead of loading the dxf file using add vector layer?
