There have been a lot of Raster issues mentioned with 2.16 lately and in the case of Windows it has been associated with the 32-bit install.
There are also problems with the 64-bit install as well, but is not as obvious. This test in using the 64-bit OSGeo4W network installer and applies to 2.16.2. If you open the "OSGeo4W" command shell and run gdalinfo on any TIFF image you get a crash message saying: "gdalinfo.exe has stopped working" It gets partway though displaying the tiff information and shows the image width and height but then it crashes. Interestingly, if you try this with"OSGeo4W Shell" it seems to work. I am now sure what the difference is between the two. Do any of you get the same results? Thanks, Calvin
