Could you describe more exactly, what you did, when you clean up 'the entire environment', please. With new master versions on my FreeBSD boxes, I also have some trouble at startup from time to time. For me, it helps to remove the user configuration in '~/.qgis-dev' and sometimes also in '~/.config/QGIS'. Is this, what you meant be 'entire environment'? Thanks in advance.
