Hi all: here's a dump of the relevant pages [1]; as you can see developer
oriented content / brainstorming / ideas. I don't think this is valuable
user documentation.

Any reason not to expand our use of QGIS' GitHub Wiki?

Cheer

Hi all,

I'm not sure https://github.com/qgis/QGIS-Website/blob/master/themes/qgis
-theme/docs_index.html (actually docs.qgis.org) is a good place to show
Metasearch plugin information; AFAICT, this page lists all the docs
released by QGIS Teams and aimed to be of *wide interest*.
Furthermore, the User manual provides a chapter on Metasearch:
http://docs.qgis.org/testing/en/docs/user_manual/plugins/
plugins_metasearch.html so if particular information are worth
mentionning/linking, i think this page suits better.
Also, given that the wiki at hub.qgis.org is being closed, maybe instead
of linking to that page, improving the chapter in user manual with valuable
contents from the wiki should be the way to go...

Yeah that sounds like a good approach - thanks Harrisou!

Hi Tom

Which wiki are you referring to? I assume by the fact that you are using
an osgeo-id that you mean the one at http://hub.qgis.org/. This wiki is
being end-of-lifed and IMHO you should not add any new content there.

The wiki at https://github.com/qgis/qgis/wiki is being used but only for
specific uses.

One option would be a small patch to the docs page on QGIS.org itself -
but check first with Yves or Richard if that would work well for them....

-theme/docs_index.html

Hi devs:

How can I get a link added to the wiki? I'd like to add a link to the
MetaSearch
wiki docs [1] on the homepage [2].

I am logged in with my OSGeo ID but doesn't look like I have edit privs
on
that page.

Cheers

..Tom
