This PR (https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/pull/4792) adds variance to QgsZonalStatistics, and remove the duplicate processing zonal statistics algorithm on the basis of a general consensus in this mail tread and more importantly its author, Alexander Bruy, agreeing.
