Hi all, Another heads up - PR https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/pull/4994 removes startup tips from QGIS 3.0, with the intention of freeing up the first-run user experience for an enhanced welcome screen.
If you have STRONG objections to this change, please comment on https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/pull/4994 ASAP. Currently all feedback is in favour of removing tips, so we'd need a strong reason to keep them around now...
