I'm forwarding an interesting discussion about a possible bug. TLDR; On some systems when saving edits to a geojson file, a geojson.tmp is saved instead and never overwrites the original file. This is a regression from previous versions where saving geojson overwrites the original file correctly.
Full discussion is on: https://gis.stackexchange.com/questions/300860/why-does-qgis-3-4-create-tmp-file-instead-of-refresh-editing-layer-after-saving Can anyone else confirm this behavior perhaps on the dev branch? It's pretty easy. Make a geojson layer, reload it, edit and try to save the edits. Do you get a geojson.tmp?
