Hi all, I am a daily QGIS user for work in addition to a variety of programming tasks i'm responsible for . I would like to begin spending some time developing QGIS plugins and contributing to the documentation. I am trying to figure out the best way to set things up on my computer.
because I use QGIS LTR for daily mapping tasks, I need to be very confident that nothing I do development-wise will affect the QGIS install I use for those mapping tasks. Does anyone have a similar situation? What has been your workflow? I am using a windows 10 computer, with WSL for my python needs. I could set up an entirely separate VM especially if a linux machine would be heavily recommended, Would a dedicated windows Python venv for QGIS development be sufficient? Thanks for any and all suggestions! Hugh
