Is the possibility to do "selection by spatial operators" in any future roadmap? I know it can be done on a PostGIS layer, thanks to the PostGIS spatial functions, but it's not yet a built-in feature of QGis, so it isn't possible to make such operations on, i.e., shapefile layers. Do I miss something?
