I'm having the same problem since I updated to 0.9.2.x1 in Ubuntu Gutsy, from http://ppa.launchpad.net/timlinux/ubuntu/
There is a silly sample attached, it worked this morning in 0.9.2.RC1 (Windows) but it's an invalid layer for 0.9.2x1 (Gutsy) altough it seems to be properly parsed. I was said this doesn't happen in svn build (8319) http://lists.osgeo.org/pipermail/qgis-user/2008-April/002525.html Maybe this build is the only one affected.
