What should I test?
My setup is: WinXP Professional Version 2002 SP3, QGIS 1.0.1, Postgres
8.2 and 8.3
but (as I wrote before): I have no problems loading PostGIS layers.

I have been just reported the same problem on another win xp box, so it
may be related to OS. Could please some other win user do some more
testing and let us know? If true, this would be a serious bug.
