Recently I downloaded and installed version 1.0.2 and found out
Python complement installer was missing. After my notification of
the issue, a new version was uploaded by developer, as usual,
promptly.
However, the new version did not solve the problem in my computer
(G3 with Tiger's last update). I tried reinstalling Python (2.6.2)
which may have caused conflict. Then, I reinstalled all needed
frameworks trying to overcome the problem, including reinstallation
of Python 2.5...to my dismay that resulted in total failure to
launch qgis (both 1.0.1 and 1.0.2), which became stably non
functional.
At the Python prompt in terminal it says version 2.6.2 (should I
unistall this version and reinstall 2.5?, if so, how should this be
done?)
My Qgis build links directly to Python 2.5, so as long as that is
installed, it should work. It will completely ignore 2.6.
In another computer (intel iMac, which I do not own but can use)
version 1.0.1 remains to be functional, which allows me to continue
to use it. In the G3, version 1.0.0 is working.
I would like to overcome this problem, in fact I loan for a binary,
all-included install given my null skills in compiling and general
UNIX (Darwin) handling!
Regards,
There is also an updated GDAL framework available that fixes a couple
Tiger issues that would affect Qgis (this was after I updated Qgis).
I don't do all-in-one builds because the frameworks are shared between
many different GIS programs I also package. Tom Elwertowski does the
Mac all-in-one builds, but he's been quiet on those lately.

Theory of the Universe
There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly
what the universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly
disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarrely
inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has
already happened.
