Great news!
$ apt-cache rdepends libgdal1-1.5.0 libgdal1-1.5.0 Reverse Depends:[...]grassWhich grass is that (apt-cache policy grass)? That's what triggers the dependency to gdal 1.5. The ubuntugis jaunty grass depends on libgdal1-1.6.0. So your grass must be from a different repository.
$ apt-cache policy grass
grass:
Installed: 6.4.0~rc5-2~jaunty1
Candidate: 6.4.0~rc5-2~jaunty1
Version table:
*** 6.4.0~rc5-2~jaunty1 0
500 http://ppa.launchpad.net jaunty/main Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
6.2.3-2.1 0
500 http://archive.ubuntu.com jaunty/universe Packages
The ppa.launchpad.net repositories I have in sources.list are:
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/openoffice-pkgs/ppa/ubuntu jaunty main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/openoffice-pkgs/ppa/ubuntu jaunty main
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/ubuntugis/ubuntugis-unstable/ubuntu jaunty main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/ubuntugis/ubuntugis-unstable/ubuntu jaunty main
is the grass 6.2.3-2.1 0 from archive.ubuntu.com causing problems?
Is there any way to specify the actual repository in case a package
is available in more than one repository?
Agus
