libgdal-grass just became available for upgrading, I did
and then upgraded grass to 6.4.0, not being required
to uninstal anything.
The qgis grass plugin works fine with this grass version
(as far as I can tell by now)

I think the same is true for jaunty, can confirm this evening.
Might it be that libgdal-grass-1.6.2.3~intrepid1 is not selected
by Synaptic because labeled "lpa" in the repository?
