I think that probably both questions
are best addressed through R and its spatial packages.
Note that there is a very good QGIS plugin (manageR)
that facilitates using R within a GIS context.

Hi all, and sorry for cross-posting

I'm interested too in connecting dots, but in a different perspective,

I'd like to connect several centroids (of habitat patches) to draw and
analysize a habitat network (spatial graph) and related connectivity.

Until now I didn't find any tool, I've done it manually (for each
centroid pair!)
(I know the CONEFOR-SENSINODE tools, but it does some calculations
only on IDs, with outputs as text file)

Someone may help me or say any reference?

thanks indvance!
(thanks also for all contributions you're doing for improving QGIS!)
best regards,
