Great Alex, I would be interested in testing/reproducing it. I've tried a lot in the past, then I switched to Linux and I got off the track. Now I'm back on Windows (mostly) and would be interested into recap the steps to build qgis+grass indipendently by osgeo4w. What about QGis? Are you making MSVC builds? Are you using the prebuilt stuff (Qt, Python, etc) from OSGeo4w? Ok, enough questions :)
