Therefore I tried the OsGeo4W advanced installer. Besides from the
pre-checked libraries I (iteratively) added all the other gdal
libraries, copied libtiff.dll to /windows/system32/ and finally called
the gdal-16.bat. Still not working, instead I get another message:

C:\prog\OSGeo4W\apps\gdal-16\bin\gdalplugins\gdal_ECW_JP2ECW.dll 126:
The specified module could not be found./" (Although the .dll file is
there, in the correct folder.)
Maybe you are missing the ECW SDK from ERDAS? Some details of how to
download and install those DLL's on windows are here:

Any ideas?
