Hi All,

I'm having difficulty loading ftools... I'm working on Mac OSX 10.5.8, QGIS 1.4.0

I have two vector .shp files, one contains counties and the other contains collision points. I'm trying to link the collision points with the counties to create one new shape file I need to have an attribute table that contains the information from both maps as I will be exporting this data into R for analysis. (e.g. I need an attribute table allowing the collisions to correspond with county names). I have read on an older post that ftools is required, however I'm having difficulty loading this plugin.

Plugins -> manage plugins and ftools is selected, however when I scroll through my plugins drop-down menu, ftools is not present?
Is there any step I'm missing to install ftools?
(Aside: looking at fetch python plugins the status of ftools is 'installed')

Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Regards

Erica
