QGis 1.5 also uses GDAL 1.7 (I think Qgis 1.5 + GDAL 1.6 is a Windows thing 
only).  The key is that MrSid GDAL plugin.

Theory of the Universe

There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the
