Solved!!!

Thanks! Markus and Hamish,

I got a new mapset created, set the resolution and imported the raster.
And, it has been fine output.
But, my query is that the raster that I generate from r.walk does not give
me a line connecting two points. How to get that. I am using elevation
raster (reclassified) as base raster. Now, about friction cost, what to use,
aspect or slope map or the cost generated map.

suggest me so that I can get a fine line.

Thanks and regards,
Ambrish Dhaka

Hi, I'm wondering 2 things.

1 - Is it posssable to include a download link on the
http://www.qgis.org/wiki/Download page, so then users can download all
previous versions. .. rather than having user dig for it here
http://download.osgeo.org/qgis/ which is a maze of directories.
(for those people like me who want to use QGIS but the program does not
uninstall correctly, especially when the variation versions from the osgeo
website were downloaded. .. .having 2 separate locations for this download,
both being 'official' doesn't really make sence.

2 - it is possible to include a 'no-grass setup' or simply hide the fact
that grass (the background program) is installed. Or have it as an option
during the setup process. .. so those who want to have a larger program can
choose to download it. And for those who want a 'lite' version, can simply
do so.

This will avoid the problems when trying to uninstall... as it is only 1
complete program that users need to install.

In many programs. there is the option to include a prompt for 'Advanced'
'Custom' 'basic' and 'complete' setup.

I wish i was a programmer so i could submit a patch... to fix this, so this
is why im simply requesting, and hoping that it can happen sometime
eventually :)

Thanks,
Sam

Hi All,
I am trying to generate a map with r.walk (elevation raster and cost
raster(by r.cost) as input). But, the map is mostly blank and the values it
generates is like this.

The null values are the most generated. And, therefore there is no further

To speed things up, please consider sponsoring the development of this
feature.

Hello List,

I now test the ability to connect to SQL Server data whis GDAL 1.8 of QGIS
1.7.
The connection is correct but I have no geometry in return, and the right
attribute data (error).
Is a problem in GDAL / OGR? or QGIS 1.7?

Should we open a new ticket ?

Thank you in advance

This seems to be a bug, I have noticed it is happens mainly on Windows XP
but Windows 7 also has this bug. I'm not sure where the problem is, I
suspect QGIS as OGR via command line returns the correct objects.
