I think it is interesting, how mail clients are shaping the way
mailing lists are used - compare gmail with cell phone clients - and
we are now back to asking to snip, as it was asked for before gmail
due to bandwidth.

Simply an observation.

And I agree that reasonable snipping is useful, but that is actually
an art.
