Hi, We are just looking at QGIS as a way of capturing new pipeline data for our water network data. I'm wondering if its possible in QGIS to set certain topology rules.
For example, we currently use Intergraphs geomedia, and that enforces certain standards when capaturing data. For example, if we add a new piece of water main, when we finish capturing the line, the software will prompt to add a point feature at the end of the line. Or if we put a point feature i.e a water stop valve onto an existing piece of pipeline the software will split the line at that point and create a new unique id for each portion of the line. So we are wondering if there is the capabilty to do this in qgis, as this is pretty much the only thing stopping us moving over to qgis.
