Hi Elena, on Windows it is tricky, and it is not qgis fault. Follow this screencast http://ubuntuone.com/p/zon/ is about another R based plugin, but the first part is the same to have R and QGIS work together under Windows. You'll need to use R <= 2.11.1 (32 bit, even on 64 bit Windows) because the python library rpy2 is not up to date to cope with the latest R versions.
