I have the same problem on linux (Ubuntu 10.10). My network volumes are not displayed in the QGIS file browser. However, I can open files by right-clicking on them and choosing Open with ... (QGIS), but this is rather uncomfortable. Any ideas how I can browse through my network drives from within QGIS?
