Hello:
I have a polygon layer (a shapefile) with several features that have
multiple parts (administrative zones that include landmass and numerous
islands). When I enable the Labels on it, I end up with the same label
repeated many times for the features that have multiple parts.
I would like to have only one label for each feature otherwise the
labels are not legible as they overlap each others.
I found the following option in the advanced labelling features: "Label
every part of multi-part features" but this didn't change anything (even
though it sounds like this would do the opposite of what I would like so
it should be good by default)?.
Am I missing something? Is it an issue with my shapefile? or should I
report a bug?
I have Qgis 1.7.3 on ubuntu.
