Thanks for your answer Well ... i suppose that I (have to) partly understand the choice of Debian managers, but i hope anyway that we will still be able to download the upto date Qgis versions for Debian, at least from Qgis repositories (as we already do). Actually I began to use Qgis before using Debian (:-) Also Qgis 1.7.4 for Debian is already very fast and efficient. in the present version 1.7.4 for Debian it's only may be the gdal/ogr libraries in Squeeze that are a bit older than for some other OS, with apparently few issues with some on the fly or true reprojections involving the Proj4 +nadgrids. A lot of colleagues can use Qgis because it remains user friendly although new features are developped. This is very important to stay user friendly as Qgis. I think that there is not much equivalent open Gis software that everybody can use. So i think that the Debian users of Qgis are really hoping to see out the future development of Qgis, of course from the Debian repositories if possible ... and from your repositories otherwise Best regards DBL Le 09/04/2012 08:53, Paolo Cavallini a écrit : Il 08/04/2012 02:58, blavet ha scritto:Dear Developpers --
