Hello QGIS users,

Messages have been posted on the QGIS mailing-lists about hurdles to create a colour raster file from 1-band raster and its QGIS colour palette. In response, I've tried to create an acceptable solution and am please to announce the bccAddRColor plugin.

This new plugin ("one-band raster to paletted or RGB raster", version 0.1.1) is available from the BC Consulting repository [0].

If you are interested to use/test this plugin, please add the above repository to QGIS (see [1] on how to add a repository).

Once installed the plugin can be found in the "Raster/Raster Colours" menu.

The plugin asks for an input 1-band raster file, the QGIS qml file associated with it and the name of the output raster file. The output raster file can be either a 1-band paletted raster or a 3-band RGB raster.

You can read more info, if interested, at [2].

Best regards,
Benoit
