Hi Julian
Version 1.7.4 has the bug with relative pathes for spatialite not
supported in QGIS server. The most recent source code (=upcoming 1.8)
works fine.

No, I meant the path conversion in QGIS server.

I'm running Qgis 1.7.4 both on MacOS and on Ubuntu (10.04.4).
I'll try tomorrow also with Ubuntu 11, same QGIS.
What do you mean when you write: " I remember having added the

you?

Hi Julian
Spatialite layers with relativ pathes work fine for me in QGIS server
with the current developer version (on ubuntu 11.10).
Which version of QGIS are you using? I remember having added the
relative -> absolute path conversion for file based databases some
time ago.
Probably you are using different versions on Mac OS and Linux?

UPDATE:
I made some more tests with a second Ubuntu server (a desktop
version). It
seems it's a path problem.
On MacOS a spatialite layer can be added using generic "Add vector
layer" or
specific add "SpatiaLite layer". Both procedures work. On ubuntu the
first
procedure does not work: loads up a layer, but nothing is showed on
the map;
this was my case.
Adding the layer following the second procedure does show the layer
in the
map in Qgis, but did not work for qgis-web-client. Switching the
project to
absolute path, works.
As a conclusion there is no way to get spatiaLite work with relative
paths.
Not in my case. Can anyone confirm? And, why there is such a render
difference in MacOS and Linux, with spatiaLite added as vector layer?

hello all,
I'm experiencing a very strange behavior of qgis-server with spatialite
layers. I'm testing it on my MacBook (snow leopard) and on a Ubuntu
server.
Using shapefiles the project loads fine; using spatialite I can
successfully view the map on qgis-web-client using MacOS as server,
but no
map is shown with Ubuntu server. I can see the layer list, but no
feature
in the map.
Adding other layers, raster and shapefiles, I get a mix result in
Ubuntu:
shapefiles& rasters are correctly displayed, but no spatialite
layer is
displayed.
I created the spatialite layers using QspatiaLite plugin.
Qgis-web-client' test project, wich uses spatialite, is correctly
showed!
Any help?
