Dear QGIS users and developers- I am a new user of QGIS and am very much enjoying the program. Thanks in advance to everyone for a wonderful resource.
I have a polygon that I would like to replicate and enlarge, such that the replicate polygons are 2mi/3.2km and 10mi/16.1km distance outward from the original polygon but retain the same shape. I've tried using most of the default vector tools, in addition to some plugins but am stuck. I thought perhaps I could "explode" the polygon into points, generate a 3.2km radius buffer around each point, and then merge the buffers into a single polygon, but have not found a vector tool or plugin to transform lines to points. Thanks so much for your help!
