Hi Andreas The need for such a tool is confirmed for me. Projects can handle several datasources (postgis, sqlite, tiff..) localized in shared directories or servers.. If a user need a simple export to send it outside its company, this tools is really a time saving feature.
I have in mind to command an improved version of qconsolidate tool, with additional options: - choose output format for each layer (sqlite, shp, tab) but with a limited list to make it simpler type conversion problems - Option to use only current display extent (select all objects touching extent) - warning if size and number of objects is huge. - warning for data types that can't be copied. - raster deactivated by default, because they are often huge, clip operations long, and those data are often under licence.. (92 Go for ecw Ortho-pPhotographies in my place for example). Activating it will need some extra testing on new 'save as raster' implemented recently. I was thinking of merging QConsolidate and Offline Editing plugins to make it more readable from a user point of view.. But uses cases might be too different to me, and that would lead to a complicated UI and plugin. Anybody else interested? Thoughts? _______________________________________________ Qgis-user mailing list [email protected] http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-user
