Looks like libspatialite2, which I need for QGIS, is not available in the openSUSE repos, but only through a user HOME obs. It's not officially available anymore, the only time it gets installed is during the initial installation, but once you install QGIS from the GEO repo, it upgrades to the only available spatialite which is libspatialite5 (or v4).
