Hi Paolo,
on my site OpenLayers.Format.OWSCommon appears only in line 939 of
OpenLayers.js
So please be sure to run the most recent version of OpenLayers.js from
https://github.com/qgis/qgis-web-client

Do you have more information? Or is your test installation somewhere available
online?
I had to revert to an earlier version, to make it functional again.
Just the information that it fails, does not help me at all. Any Javascript
error messages? Is the GetProjectSettings request issued correctly? If you copy
that
same request from Firebug - does it actually work?
The error was exactly the same reported earlier in this thread:
TypeError: OpenLayers.Format.OWSCommon is not a constructor
http://localhost/qgis-web-client/site/libs/openlayers/OpenLayers.js
Line 967:
Thanks for following this.
All the best.
