Hi list

I have a bunch of vector files without any georeferences. I know, where the
data are in the real world, ie. where the real coordinates should be. The
problem with the data are, that neither scale or - in a few cases even the
rotations - are correct, so I can't "just" move them into their right
place, having the OpenLayers Google or Bing maps - or similar - in the
background to find the real location.

What is the easiest way to fix these data? I have played around with the
Affinetransformation plugin, but it's extremely cumbersome to do with this
plugin, as it's really trial and error.

On a QGIS user meeting yesterday, I saw a demo of, that it seemed to be
really easy to take a JPG file, georeference it and output a GeoTIFF file.
Can't something similar be done with vector data? I haven't found a really
good way of doing this.

Any tutorial etc. would be really appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Jacob
