You should insert "sudo", as indicated in the original line on the
website. Since I don't use sudo, I don't know how to do it by hart.

By now I still continue to obtain the error message
The line sudo gpg --recv-key BBA6491F47765B75 is ok, but when I
insert the command sudo gpg --export --armor BBA6491F47765B75 |
apt-key add - I obtain the message "This command can only be used
by root"
Thank you

However, the old/wrong (?) private key 997D3880 is listed here:
www.qgis.org/en/site/forusers/alldownloads.html
<http://www.qgis.org/en/site/forusers/alldownloads.html>
The correct(?) commands are:
gpg --recv-key BBA6491F47765B75
gpg --export --armor BBA6491F47765B75 | apt-key add -
You can insert the sudo thing which I don't want.
cheers and 73!

I'm not a Linux wonk.
Since you are using two commands on the same line joined by a pipe, "|",
you might need a second "sudo" after the pipe.
Also, try entering "sudo" and the password first. Then enter your
commands normally..
Heck, why don't you just go superuser and enter the commands.? Come on,
show that computer who is boss!
