Hi, Does anyone know any methodology within qgis to obtain the minimum bounding box of a polygon by its width? Preferably with a line output? Or has someone written a script for that?
Currently all I find is the bounding box but that calculates the minimum rectangle along length - http://www.qgis.org/api/classQgsGeometry.html#a900d07baff21aefc29518f54a8a9d147? i.e. the minium bounding box will always be orientated towards north. Cheers, Bjorn
