Thank you Reiko I checked and the drawing order is checked. I normally don't change that, but who knows. I'll keep an eye on it. Unfortunately, I can't reproduce it, so I have to wait till it happens again. I had the same problem, but found out that there is a checkbox "Update drawing order" at the bottom of the context menu which shows up by right-clicking the layer in layers tab. My problem was solved by checking this box. I wonder if I am responding to your question... ************************************* 林玲子 Reiko Hayashi 2014-02-11 22:31 GMT+09:00 Mike Flannigan <[email protected]>: > > I suspect you are familiar with layer drawing order. > If not, drag different layers that display in the "Layers" box on the > left side to the top of the list. > > If that is not the problem what is your OS and QGIS version number? > > > Mike > > > > On 2/10/2014 9:29 AM, [email protected] wrote: >> >> Date: Sun, 9 Feb 2014 20:00:13 -0500 >> From: "Jake Maier"<[email protected]> >> To:<[email protected]> >> Subject: [Qgis-user] layers have sometimes have to be turned on and >> off and on again to show up >> Message-ID:<01a001cf25fb$753b8e10$5fb2aa30$@[email protected]> >> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" >> >> Since qgis 1.8, I sometimes have to turn layers on and off and on again, >> sometime 3 or 4 times, to make them show on the canvas.
