Just wanted to comment that I installed x64 2.2 via OSGeo4W (this was after Jürgen promoted the packages again around the 23rd) and do not have any issues on startup. I'm running Windows 7 SP1. I previously had 2.0.1 loaded that also ran without any issues. As suggested before, there are probably conflicting DLLs that need to be resolved. Never had this problem with v1.8. Still get the same issue if you go through OSgeo4W method. As I say, need to verify if it is just the 64 bit version or both! As before, this does not affect the program but clearly was not addressed: No idea what the program is trying to do, put it is on the start up phase where it is restoring loaded plugins. Still a bug to me.
